You will be a key resource in providing enhancements and security for six WordPress applications while working closely with stakeholders. Your full-stack development work will support VSP’s mission in highway safety, emergency messaging, and recruitment. The position is hybrid and your work arrangement does require regular onsite presence.You will be responsible for:Working across the full stack in WordPress to build new features and servicesDeveloping solutions in WordPress that support positive, accessible user experiences in both desktop and mobile environmentsDebugging and security remediations for public-facing applicationsWorking with agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices, and pursuing continued learning opportunitiesHere’s What You Need:Demonstrated expertise in WordPress application developmentProficiency in PHP coding and debuggingProficiency in front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptUnderstanding of SQLUnderstanding of REST APIProven knowledge of back-end/infrastructure maintenance and optimization and UX/UI principlesProven knowledge of secure coding practicesAbility to work as a team member on web development projects end-to-endOutstanding communication skillsAny combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in information sciences, computer science, or a related field; considerable software implementation experienceThanks & RegardsGraceTechnical RecruiterAmerican Unit IncEmail: Grace@americanunit.comTel: 214-556-0117
