Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in food preparation, and cooking. This position is essential in maintaining the quality and efficiency of our kitchen operations. If you have a passion for the food industry and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you. Ability to flip a wok is a bonus. Must be able to work weekends and overtime. Duties Prepare and chop ingredients according to recipes and menu specifications. Assist in the cooking process by preparing sauces, dressings, and other components. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure safe food handling. Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation. Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages. Participate in menu planning by suggesting new dishes or improvements based on seasonal ingredients. Experience Previous experience in a culinary or food preparation role is preferred, especially within the food industry or catering settings. Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques are essential. Knowledge of dietary department practices is a plus, particularly regarding dietary restrictions and menu planning. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills in a dynamic kitchen environment. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
