POSITION SUMMARY:
The Parts Assembler position is responsible for performing various parts assembly and packaging duties. This position is assigned with preparing parts for the Shipping Department to send to our customers.
KEY POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Operates all equipment and tools with the utmost attention to safety and professionalism.
· Cuts and loops springs.
· Maintains inventory of springs.
· Assembles finished parts as required.
· Packages parts for shipping and ensures appropriate paperwork is completed.
· May operate equipment to drill pin holes and dress or deburr parts.
· Examines parts for acceptability of finish.
· Coordinates order flow with Shipping Department.
· Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS:
· Requires manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
· Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended durations.
· Ability to operate power equipment including drills and skin packing machine.
· Ability to read scale to 1/16 of an inch.
· High attention to detail and accuracy.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
High School diploma or equivalent.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 2 years of related manufacturing environment and work experience preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Exerts up to 30 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Ability to climb stairs as required.
· Ability to maintain composure during periods of high stress with a highly developed sense of urgency.
· Regular physical attendance is required.
· Ability to stand majority of the day and handle multiple priorities.
· Duties require verbal communications abilities, visual acuity to review parts and packaging, accuracy in reading data, manual coordination and dexterity in handling items and operation of equipment.
