Meeting Street is a special place of learning, where children of all abilities have the opportunities to reach their fullest potential.Full-time Employees ReceiveCompetitive PayGenerous PTO13 paid holidaysMedical, dental, vision and MOREMeeting Street is currently looking for a Facilities Technician for 40 hours per week.DutiesPerforms general maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling, basic carpentry and building systems.Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repair.Perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician (i.e., drywall, painting, doors, locks, building fixtures).Maintain agency vehicles and make minor repairs.Maintain the swimming pool and equipment associated with it. Perform and record pool water testing and documents results and follow established standards and guidelines. Repair and construct special equipment for clients’ needs.Disarm security system at the facility each morning.Check and reset security and fire panel breaches when called after hours.Utilize the maintenance request and preventive maintenance program to track and complete assigned work orders timely and efficiently.Set up and break down of seating and equipment for meetings and/or conferences.Meeting Street believes the dignity of each person is paramount. Willingness to obtain Accredited Pool Operator certification through Meeting Street. Maintenance experience in a school system is preferred.Operate hand and floor power tools.Operate tractor and snow blower and similar equipment.Climb ladders and perform work on the roof.Ability to lift loads more than 40 pounds.Operate loading/unloading equipment.Safety-conscious, especially in setting up, working, and breaking down equipment.Willing to work overtime during the telethon, special events and to meet facility scheduled and emergency requirements.Position hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00AM – 5:00PMPosition is based in Providence, however, will have to work in the Dartmouth and New Bedford, MA locations.
