What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal HealthInformation Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.ResponsibilitiesDesign scalable, maintainable Salesforce solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.Anticipate, plan and deliver IT solutions that support enterprise strategic goals and enable increased business valueOwn end-to-end solution design for Sales Cloud and Service Cloud implementation.Ensure solutions are optimized for performance, scalability, and security.Design and implement integrations using:REST/SOAP APIsMiddleware tools (e.g., IIB, MuleSoft, Boomi, APIGEE and Attunity)Provides Solution architecture to various projects in adherence to the overall Sales and Service Strategy and RoadmapWorks with Enterprise Architects, Solution and product owners to develop detailed technical architecture patterns for Salesforce initiatives.Experience in both Build and Run projects desirableDemonstrate functional integration with business users documenting requirements, functional specifications, functional/regression/UAT testing.Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team that consists of onshore/offshore resources, including both contractors and FTEsConduct code reviews, design reviews, and knowledge sharing sessions.Drive adoption of best practices, reusable frameworks, and standards.Qualifications8-12 years of salesforce development or related experience, preferredBachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferredStrong expertise in:Apex & Lightning Web Components (LWC)Sales CloudService CloudProven experience in solution design and architectureExperience with Salesforce integrations and APIsExperience working in enterprise-scale Salesforce environments.Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutionsStrong technical experience working on large SFDC implementations across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Conga (Apttus) CLM.What is expected of you and others at this levelApplies advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projectsParticipates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goalsRecommends new practices, processes, metrics, or modelsWorks on or may lead complex projects of large scopeProjects may have significant and long-term impactProvides solutions which may set precedentIndependently determines method for completion of new projectsReceives guidance on overall project objectivesActs as a mentor to less experienced colleaguesAnticipated salary range: $123,400 - $176,300Bonus eligible: YesBenefits: Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being.Medical, dental and vision coveragePaid time off planHealth savings account (HSA)401k savings planAccess to wages before pay day with myFlexPayFlexible spending accounts (FSAs)Short- and long-term disability coverageWork-Life resourcesPaid parental leaveHealthy lifestyle programsApplication window anticipated to close: 05/27/2026 *if interested in opportunity, please submit application as soon as possible.The salary range listed is an estimate.
