We are seeking an experienced Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and support low-voltage systems for commercial and light industrial customers. This role is hands-on and field-based, responsible for running cable, installing and terminating devices, and ensuring systems are installed cleanly, safely, and to industry standards. The ideal candidate has prior experience with security cameras, access control, alarms, and structured cabling, and takes pride in high-quality workmanship.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (Cat5e/Cat6, coax, fiber preferred)Install and configure IP and analog security cameras (including NVRs/DVRs)Install access control systems including door readers, strikes, mag locks, and REX devicesInstall intrusion alarm systems and related sensorsRead and interpret drawings, floor plans, and system designsPerform device mounting, cable management, labeling, and documentationTroubleshoot and repair low-voltage systems as neededFollow safety standards, job site rules, and company proceduresCommunicate professionally with customers, project managers, and team membersMaintain tools, company equipment, and job site cleanlinessRequired Qualifications2–5+ years of experience as a low voltage or security systems technicianStrong knowledge of structured cabling and industry best practicesHands-on experience with security cameras, access control, and alarm systemsAbility to work from ladders, lifts, and in ceiling spacesBasic networking knowledge (IP addressing, PoE, switches preferred)Valid driver’s license and reliable transportationAbility to work independently or as part of a teamPreferred QualificationsManufacturer certifications (e.g., Verkada, Ubiquiti, Axis, HID, etc.)Experience with PoE/PoE+ switches and network racksFamiliarity with firestopping and code complianceOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certificationExperience with service calls and customer-facing workPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbsComfortable working on ladders and liftsAbility to work in tight spaces, attics, and above ceilingsWhat We OfferCompetitive pay based on experienceCompany vehicle or mileage reimbursement (if applicable)Tools and equipment providedOpportunities for training and certificationGrowth opportunities within a growing technology company
