Reporting to the Retail Manager, the Retail Associate creates an out of this world shopping experience for our guests. Retail Associates will have expansive knowledge of our products, prepare and display merchandise and assist guests with their transactions. Meow Wolf reserves the right to extend this deadline if needed.How You Will Do It...Welcome guests to the exhibition and/or gift shop and answer their questionsPerform job responsibilities with a creative flair that elevates the exhibition narrativeDeliver a memorable guest experience through exceptional customer serviceMonitor crowds and assist with crowd control to ensure the safety of guests and staffRemain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available optionsMaintain in-stock and presentable conditions throughout the Retail spaceProcess POS (point of sale) purchases and merchandise returnsReceive products and stock the sales floor, including processing incoming shipments, restocking displays, merchandising, etc.Collaborate with other team members to create and maintain a pleasant environment for guestsComply with inventory control proceduresRespond to injuries and emergencies appropriately, including reporting incidents to the Manager on DutyFulfill other duties as required or directed by managementTo be successful in this role...Strong service skills and a welcoming demeanor requiredBasic understanding of sales principles and customer service practicesCommunicate with others to exchange informationEmbody Meow Wolf customer service expectations to enhance guest’s experienceLearn and operate ticketing and point-of-sale systemsFollow and enforce safety rulesMaintain composure in stressful situationsAdaptable to changes in a fast-paced work environmentAn interest in the artsAbility to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidaysMust be 18 years of age or older at the time of hireIt would be nice to have...Prior work experience in high-volume, guest-facing spaces such as retail, museums, theme parks, recreation facilities, escape roomsPrior experience with point-of-sale systemsHidden talents that can be employed as part of the persona including but not limited to: singing, dancing, magic, comedy, conversationalist, impersonator, or otherwiseBilingual, especially but not limited to English and SpanishWork Environment...This position works in indoor settings with exposure to noisy environments, dim lighting, strong visual effects including strobing lights, special effects, fog machines, and small and/ or enclosed spaces.
