Role DescriptionThis is a permanent full-time hybrid role for a Safety Consultant, located in the greater Baton Rouge, LA area with some flexibility for remote work. The Safety Consultant will be responsible for day-to-day tasks including interacting with clients, safety auditing, occupational health and safety training, policy/procedure development and online qualification program management (ISN, Avetta, etc.). Other responsibilities may include managing customer projects, investigating incidents, claims management, and regulatory compliance agency inspections (OSHA, MSHA, DOT, EPA, etc.).QualificationsBachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field preferredRelevant certifications such as CHST, CSST, or COSS recommended; GSP, ASP, or CSP preferredSkills for this job typically require a minimum of 5 years experience in construction or general industryExperience in commercial building construction (general and/or trade contracting) preferredExisting knowledge of 1926 and 1910 regulationsExperience in developing and presenting safety trainingExperience in ISNetworld, Avetta, & other qualification programs preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skills (Bilingual: Spanish a plus)Attention to detail and strong organizational skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively with a teamExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsProficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)BenefitsMedical insurance (employer paid contribution)Dental & vision Insurance (100% employer paid)Paid holidays, vacation, and sick timeComputer, iPhone, & iPad providedVehicle allowance & company fuel cardSalary (pay dependent upon experience)
