Senior RF Engineer

Hidden Level is transforming airspace safety with innovative, scalable drone detection and airspace technology. We provide real-time, actionable data to enhance security across various environments. As we expand, we're looking for an RF Engineer to join our team to help us accelerate our product development initiatives.Location: This position is onsite in Syracuse, NY office, with the potential for hybrid arrangements.ResponsibilitiesDerive and document RF system requirements working collaboratively with multiple technical disciplines Develop innovative RF subsystem and system architecturesSimulate, model, design, select and characterize components Design, implement, test, and integrate RF circuit cards and subsystems for use in our cutting-edge communications, radar, and other sensor systemsParticipate in cross-functional technical design reviewsPerform and support integration and test activities and eventsSupport or perform project planning, execution, and oversightProvide mentorship to junior staffWhat We’re Looking ForA desire to lead development projects and work creatively and collaboratively on cross-disciplinary teams to deliver solutions that impress our customers and move our industry forward.An open-minded approach to solving challenges, and proactive development of backup plans to ensure the team can hit the mark even when encountering the unexpected.A mindset trained on long-term goals and objectives, balanced with making demonstratable incremental steps along the way to meet the pace of our industry.Excellent written and verbal communication skills to efficiently convey complex ideas, coupled with an ability to listen, question, and understand stakeholder needs.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. 5+ years of professional experienceDemonstrated skills in software simulation platforms such as Ansys HFSS, Matlab, or Python10% travelPreferred Qualifications Experience and interest in one or more of the following areas:Antennas and Phased ArraysReceiversExcitersSimulationAnechoic Chamber MeasurementsSchematic CaptureAdvanced degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. Compensation and Benefits: Hidden Level offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid parental leave, flexible time off, 401(k) with employer contributions, life insurance, and disability insurance. The company also provides a remote or hybrid work environment and potential stock options.Salary Range: The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $109,000 to $136,000 annually.
