Corporate Environmental Health and Safety Manager

What you will be doing:
You will implement, audit and continuously improve EHS practices, policies and procedures with the goal of achieving the highest levels of protection for employees and company assets, while working with plant front-line personnel and company management team members.
Minimum requirements for the position are:
Ability to travel overnight or for a maximum of one week to other Scot Industries facilities (as necessary)
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related degree from an accredited university
Associates degree with Ten (10) or more years of EHS experience preferably at the management level
CPR/First Aid Certification
OSHA 30 hrs
Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a US Passport to travel to Scot’s Canada facility once per year
Additional preferred competencies include:
Professional Certification from a nationally recognized organization such as CHMM, CSP, OHST, or ASP
Focus on one or more the following areas: Environmental compliance, RCRA, EPCRA, NPDES, SPCC, SWPPP, and air permitting
Strong familiarity OSHA regulations pertaining to a manufacturing environment with previous experience in OSHA recordkeeping requirements (Forms 300, 300A, 301)
Ability to serve as a first point of contact for regulatory inquiries, inspections, and audits in the absence of the EHS Manager
Experience in incident and near miss investigations
Familiarity with environmental regulations such as REACH, RoHS, Conflict Minerals, PFAS, TSCA, POPs, EU Biocides, and CA Prop 65 among others
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Good judgement, work ethic and problem-solving skills
Primary responsibilities include:
Partner with plant leadership and help and provide guidance with interpretation and application of federal, state and local EHS regulations
Align corporate and local EHS goals and strategies
Lead employee training programs regarding EHS behaviors and compliance
Lead EHS audits and inspections developing remediation plans as needed
Lead multi-media environmental compliance including, but not limited to: Water (SPCC, storm)
Waste (hazardous and non-hazardous); Air (internal respiratory and external emissions)
Build and maintain positive relationships with federal, state and local regulators
Lead Continuous Improvement initiative regarding EHS policies and programs
Maintain and ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state and local EHS regulations
