Understands and identifies project requirements and performs independent technical work on basic commissioning tasks. Provides guidance to Commissioning Coordinators on completion of duties. Aside from the preferred locations listed, this position is open to any location with a Stantec office presence, for the right candidate.Your Key ResponsibilitiesParticipates in all phases of commissioning projects which may include a variety of complex features, including planning, scheduling, and coordination of workPerforms engineering design reviews, prepares commissioning scripts and reports, directs client‐site testing and manages the training of on‐site staffPrepares equipment pre‐start‐up and start‐up procedures; develops standard operating procedures (SOP's) and methods of procedures (MOPs); creates comprehensive commissioning documentationPrepares commissioning test procedures and reportsDevelops and maintains commissioning logs, equipment checklists, and other tools to track commissioning projectsPrepares comprehensive reports; recommendations for optimizing building operations, functional checklists, list of deficiencies, equipment operation and maintenance manualsReviews design criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittal, and other documentation pertinent to commissioningParticipates in commissioning activity meetingsInterfaces with construction contractors, vendors, and testing techniciansConducts tests and compiles all testing procedure resultsIntegrates system testing, load bank testing, compilation of all testing procedure resultsDevelops and administers functional tests for various building electrical systems, such as UPS, generator, switchgears, power distribution unitsYour Capabilities and CredentialsData Center / Mission Critical Experience is an assetPrevious experience working on a mission critical facility construction site is a plusLicensed PE or EIT in Electrical Discipline is a plusLEED AP accreditation is a plusCXA, AABC, ACG certification desiredExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal (this role requires a heavy amount of writing, documentation, and client interaction)High competency in technical writing, systems development and utilizationExperience using Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCADExtensive knowledge of MEP systems and controls design, installation and operation is a plusThis position will require domestic travel, must have required travel documentsPossess a valid driver's license with a good driving recordEducation and ExperienceTechnical/Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or accredited college or university is a plusMinimum one year of consulting engineering experience preferredThis description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee and other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or may be changed at any time with or without notice.Pay RangeLocations in MN, OH, VT, & various CA, NY areas – $77,300.00 – $112,100.00 annuallyLocations in CO, HI, IL, MD & various CA, NJ areas – $85,000.00 – $123,300.00 annuallyPay TransparencyIn compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
