Driver & Owner-Operator Recruiter

Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Driver & Owner-Operator Recruiter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for screening and onboarding qualified Class A CDL company drivers and owner-operators to support our growing transportation operations. We provide a consistent flow of warm leads through our marketing campaigns, allowing you to focus on high-quality talent acquisition.This position will play a key role in building a reliable driver network by maintaining strong relationships and guiding candidates through the hiring process.Key ResponsibilitiesDriver & Owner-Operator RecruitmentEngage and recruit qualified Class A CDL drivers and owner-operators using a daily stream of active and passive leads (job boards, social media, referrals, networking and industry platforms).Conduct phone and virtual interviews to evaluate driver qualifications, safety records, and eligibility.Clearly communicate job details, compensation, routes, equipment, and contract terms.Build lasting relationships with owner-operators and assist with their onboarding documentation.Candidate ManagementGuide candidates through the full recruiting lifecycle, including pre-screening and application completion.Coordinate background checks, drug testing, and orientation scheduling.Ensure all hiring practices comply with DOT regulations and company standards.Recruiting OperationsTrack all recruiting activity and candidate progress within our ATS (Tenstreet).Meet weekly and monthly driver hiring goals through consistent follow-up.Collaborate with operations and safety teams to ensure a seamless transition for new hires.QualificationsRequiredIndustry Experience: 1+ years of experience in the transportation industry in any capacity (Recruiting, Dispatch, Operations, or Driving) to ensure effective communication with professional drivers.Professional Background: 1+ years of experience as a Recruiter, or in a high-volume sales or customer service role.Education: High school diploma or equivalent.Communication: Strong phone communication and relationship-building skills.Organization: Ability to manage multiple candidates and follow up consistently in a fast-paced environment.Performance: Comfortable working with recruiting targets and performance metrics.Skills & CompetenciesStrong sales and persuasion skills.Organized with a high attention to detail.Self-motivated, results-driven, and a high sense of urgency.Compensation & IncentivesCompetitive base salary + recruiting bonuses.Performance incentives based on hires.Health, dental, and vision insurance.Paid time off and 401(k) retirement plan.Opportunities for career growth within the organization.Work EnvironmentIn-office position in Portland, OR.Fast-paced recruiting environment with daily candidate interactions.Measurable contribution to team growth through successful talent acquisition."
