Contents Technician

Job Title: Contents Restoration TechnicianJob Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Contents Restoration Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in restoring clients' belongings after fire, water, or other damage. This position requires a high level of care, customer service, and adherence to safety protocols.Key Responsibilities:Documentation: Utilize the Encircle app on personal smartphones to meticulously document client belongings, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Packing and Wrapping: Carefully pack items into boxes, wrap furniture, and secure items to prevent damages during transportation or storage.Cleaning: Clean contents using specialized cleaning chemicals and techniques, following company protocols.Safety Compliance: Wear appropriate levels of PPE specific to the job site, which may include respirators, Tyvek suits, gloves, masks, boots, hard hats, and more, to ensure safety in varying conditions.Equipment Use: Operate and maintain tools such as dollies, tape guns, and other packing materials effectively.Physical Labor: Lift and move furniture, boxes, and other items, often in challenging environments.Customer Service: Communicate professionally and empathetically with clients, providing excellent customer service throughout the restoration process.Adaptability: Work in varying environments, including potentially harsh or difficult conditions, such as extreme temperatures or heavily damaged properties.Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.Learning and Development: Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and techniques within the restoration industry by obtaining continuing education or certifications.  Qualifications:Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent communication and customer service abilities.Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs or more).Comfortable working in a physically demanding role and using PPE specific to job requirements.Flexible schedule, including availability to work on weekends or evenings if needed.Previous experience in restoration, moving, or related industries is a plus but not required.Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.Familiarity with smartphone apps and technology for documentation purposes.Work Environment:Exposure to fire- or water-damaged properties.Physical labor in various environmental conditions (hot, cold, wet, or dusty settings).Use of cleaning chemicals and heavy equipment in compliance with safety standards.Why Join Us:We offer a supportive team environment, opportunities for skill development, and the satisfaction of helping clients restore their homes and belongings after a disaster.
