Agile Delivery Lead

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Agile Delivery Lead to support highly technical engineering teams operating in a complex global delivery environment. This role requires deep knowledge of agile practices and the ability to apply program delivery and project management approaches to support teams working against time-driven milestones.The ideal candidate will help foster a collaborative engineering culture while coaching teams and leadership on Scrum, agile principles, and modern software development practices.This role works closely with global partners, including teams in Japan, and requires the ability to effectively support cross-functional and cross-cultural collaboration.Core ResponsibilitiesHelp grow a collaborative and continuously improving engineering cultureTeach and serve as example to the team of Scrum and agile values and principlesCoach and give feedback to individuals (including senior leadership) and teamsAs a Scrum Master, facilitate Scrum Events when requested by the teamDeliver effective conflict resolution between individuals and teamsBe an assertive but friendly and communicative person with first class interpersonal skillsBe an expert in estimation and planning techniques and be able to explain and teach release planning in an empirical environmentAdvocate for modern agile software development and organizational practices, such as XP, CI/CD, Devops, TDD, etc.Have excellent visualization skills and be able to explain and create visual radiatorsHelp individuals, teams, and programs to clarify goals and actions to achieve themDeliver effective methods and practices for managing and resolving impedimentsCoach and support others in effective techniques for backlog creation, management, and refinementDemonstrate effective techniques for managing team interruptions, and for protecting the team in a sprintWork beyond team boundaries to improve efficiencies, flow of work, and value delivered.Proactively partners with product leadership and leads creation of multiple team's estimated work, realistic roadmaps and delivery plans. Leads reporting on delivery progress and risks and escalates and resolves issues as needed across areas departmentsAccountable for end-to-end delivery visibility including timeline development, risk identification and mitigation, and cross-team dependency-mapping.Be able to explain the differences between various Scrum Scaling frameworks and approachesProvide scaling expertise to align multiple agile teams, collaborate and facilitate planning with large groups, coach Chief Product Owners on managing scaled product backlog of epics and features, and facilitate decision making with Product Owners, and Principal ArchitectsFacilitates complex technical discussions, driving clarity, alignment, and actionable outcomes across global engineering and product teams.Demonstrate deep system-level thinking and the ability to positively influence overall program dynamicsOperate as a self-starter who proactively identifies and implements improvements to team deliveryRequired Skills5+ years of experience working in an Agile Delivery Lead or similar roleStrong hands-on development experience OR substantial experience working directly with software development teams is requiredStrong experience supporting highly technical engineering teamsDeep knowledge of agile practices, Scrum principles, and agile coaching techniquesExperience applying agile methodologies flexibly within environments driven by fixed milestones and delivery timelinesExperience working with technical workstreams such as APIs, architecture, environment creation, and testingAbility to quickly understand and interpret technical discussions, system architectures, and CI/CD pipelines to drive informed delivery decisions.Strong coaching, facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skillsStrong conflict resolution and stakeholder management capabilitiesExperience with estimation, planning, and release planning techniquesExperience with modern software development practices including XP, CI/CD, DevOps, and TDDExperience with Scrum scaling frameworks and scaled agile coordinationDemonstrated system-level thinking and proactive problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work effectively with global partners and cross-cultural teams
