Behavior Technician

Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, feeding, and hygiene to promote independence. Collect and record behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment plans. Implement ABA therapy protocols tailored to each client’s individualized care plan, ensuring consistency and fidelity. Support clients during structured teaching activities focused on communication, social skills, and behavior management. Collaborate with supervising behavior analysts to modify intervention strategies based on data and client response. Maintain clear and professional communication with clients’ families, educators, and healthcare teams regarding progress and concerns. Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality of medical records and sensitive client information. Requirements Prior experience working with children or individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and special education principles. Ability to assist with ADLs and implement behavioral therapy strategies effectively in home or school settings. Strong data collection skills for tracking behavioral progress accurately during sessions. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation, and maintaining detailed client records. Experience working within home-based or school environments supporting individuals with disabilities. Commitment to ethical standards outlined by the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts.
