Laboratory AssistantJob Summary Provides support to the operation of the Laboratory by assisting with pre-analytical and post-analytical processes resulting in optimal patient outcomes. Performs other duties as assigned. Responsibilities Performs phlebotomy and specimen collections. Assesses and maintains quality of specimens. Communicates with patients and customers. Assesses specimens. Performs urine drug screen collections and industrial screening as required. Supports life long learning. Completes assigned goals. Specifications Experience Minimum Required Preferred/Desired Education Minimum Required High school diploma or equivalent Skill in communicating clearly and effectively in written, oral and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency. Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties. Preferred/Desired Training Minimum Required Preferred/Desired Training as acquired in an approved phlebotomy training program Special Skills Minimum Required Basic computer literacy. Preferred/Desired
