DX Control Foreman

Responsibilities:Follow company safety policiesa) Demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipmentb) Know and follow the HAZCOM programPresent a positive image to customers, co-workers and others on the jobKeep work area cleanBe willing to learn and take directionAttend training to improve knowledge of HVAC.Possess general knowledge of hand tools and their useBe able to identify material for piping, copper and PVC fittingsUnderstand proper material handling procedures for DX PipingUnderstand general electrical safety practicesInstall and braze DX PipingPerform leak testing and dehydration of DX SystemsPerform low voltage wiring and terminations of stand-alone controls and thermostatsRun condensate drains with proper traps and pitchInstall accessories on rooftop package units: Outdoor air hoods, electric heaters, motorized dampersBe able to read and understand blueprints and submittalsAbility to start up DX split systems, rooftop package units and complete required start up sheetsAbility to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot electrical systemsAbility to perform interlock wiring for exhaust fans and duct smoke detectors with A/C equipmentRead and understand DDC control submittalsKnowledge of Chillers, Chilled Water System Piping, Chilled Water Pump Alignment and Motor StartersKnowledge of VAV SystemsExperience with variable speed drives, controls start up and troubleshootingPossess good communication skillsQualifications:Minimum of Seven (7) years experience in the HVAC tradeWork Environment:Physical activities of standing, balancing, climbing stairs and ladders. Must be comfortable working from heights (over 20 feet is common).
