We empower local artists, labels and publishers to grow their audiences at each stage of their careers with expertise, respect, fairness and transparency.Operating in 50+ countries, with more than 2,000 employees, Believe covers a full range of services including audience development, publishing, marketing and distribution, with a tailor-made approach to fit any artist, label or publisher.Believe champions independence and innovation through a unique model that combines local expertise with a global tech platform, delivering exclusive solutions for artists to promote and monetize their music thanks to strategic partnerships with leading global digital service providers.With a leading portfolio of brands that includes Nuclear Blast, naïve, TuneCore, Groove Attack, Sentric, AllPoints and Byond, Believe artists generated more than 800 billion streams worldwide in 2024 across all genres, and were recognized with more than 70 leading industry awards.Believe is a simplified joint-stock company under French law.Ready to set the tone with Believe ?Job DescriptionFinance leader managing a scope of entities in the Americas, supporting the finance performance analysis and improvement of the area in connection with corporate teams and regional/local general and business management.In a changing and international environment, you are expected to handle the compliance of the entities of your scope (including accounting, financial & tax compliance, ...) while supporting the evolution of the finance framework (processes, practices, tools).Partner to the general management, business and other support services teams, you will be required to actively use your finance expertise to support regional projects and framework evolution.Responsibilities:ScopeManage several operating legal entities in the Americas RegionSupport financial performance analysis and associated tasks for the Americas RegionSupport financial processes, practices and tools changes for the Americas RegionActively contribute to regional projects and framework evolutionAccounting/ControllingOversee maintenance of day-to-day accounting on SAGE for several legal entities in the Americas scopeReview general ledger entries and balances, understand trends and challenge any anomaliesReview and approve monthly Trial Balance, Balance Sheet & P&L reportsFinalisation and reporting of accounts on monthly, quarterly, and yearly basisEnsure compliance with local GAAPsAssist corporate teams on need basis for global consolidation of accountsCoordinate/monitor auditors for all scope entities for completion of limited reviews and year-end auditCoordinate/monitor any work engaged with various consultants for various statutory activities and other consulting services connected to the finance scopeProvide Regional & Local Management with quality financial analysis for financial results and other related activitiesManage and develop financial controls and systems in coordination with corporate teamsManage finance aspects of any forecasting proceeding (budget, reforecast, ...)TreasuryManage bank operability with corporate treasury teamManage payment processesMonitor and manage funding needsComplianceStatutory, regulatory and tax compliance (e.g. yearly Financial Statements, VAT, corporate income tax, ...) with the support of an external firmIndependently handling, with an external firm support, the statutory/tax/transfer pricing auditsCoordinate/monitor communication and relationship with local administrationsOthersManage relationship with third-parties service providers related to support activities (accounting, compliance, ...)Support business teams in their needs on financial/administrative topics (review of invoices, administrative procedures understanding, ...)Support Regional Management on any of their request for all scope related to financeSupport projects and requests from other departments, units and subsidiaries of the Company for various activitiesMonitor current and explored business transactions to provide guidance to stakeholders both from accounting and compliance perspectiveIdentify and address control issues, errors and efficiency opportunitiesManage a small team of accountantsContinuously improve finance processes, practices and tools to gain efficiencySupport on various types of finance reviews and analyses for regional projects (M&A included)Support the development and improvement of the Americas framework in connection to internal stakeholders (HR, Legal, Business, ...)Experience in new legal entity creation (finance perspective)M&A integration support and/or takeover on financial aspectsQualificationsEducation - Finance/Audit/Accounting master degree10-years minimum of Experience in various finance responsibilities (accounting-controlling-financial compliance) with at least one significant experience (one-year minimum) as Finance Director of entitiesExperience in Finance team managementExperience in major audit firms appreciatedExperience of financial processes, reporting and control improvementsAbility to manage a small team, performing tasks and managing third-party provider as well meeting deadline and strive to continuously improve the qualityCapacity to work in an international environment with a headquarter in another Country and manage team remotelyAbility to work in a dynamic environment such as lack of well-defined procedures and changing work mixAutonomy over identifying and proceeding with tasks beyond the ones assigned by corporateFluent written and verbal communication in English and people skill is essential.
