Job Description Summary:We are representing a commercial HVAC contractor hiring a full-timeService Technician to handle installation, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems across New Jersey. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and is comfortable managing multiple daily service calls independently. This is not an entry-level role—applicants must have solid commercial HVAC experience (not residential-only) and EPA certification.Key Responsibilities:Perform service, repair, and maintenance on HVAC/R systems across multiple job sites per dayDiagnose issues and conduct performance tests using multimeters, gauges, and specialty toolsInstall and repair equipment including split systems, package units, ductless systems, VAVs, PTACs, chillers, and heat pumpsHandle refrigerant recovery and charging per EPA guidelinesConduct preventative maintenance visits and promote ongoing service contracts to clientsMaintain a clean, organized work area at all times and follow site safety protocolsDocument all work and communicate findings clearly with customers and office staffParticipate in emergency on-call service rotation (1x/month with additional pay and overtime)Qualifications:3–5 years of commercial HVAC service experience (residential-only background not accepted)EPA certification required (Universal or Type I & II)Trade school or technical HVAC program preferredSkilled in electrical testing, refrigerant diagnostics, control troubleshooting (Distech a plus)Ability to read electrical schematics and service manualsFamiliarity with commercial units, chillers, compressors, piping, motors, and controlsMust hold a valid NJ driver's license and have clean driving recordWilling to work overtime during peak seasons and participate in monthly on-call rotationPunctual, professional, customer-focused, and self-motivatedCompensation + Benefits:Competitive salary based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with matchingPTO including vacation, sick days, and paid holidaysCompany vehicle and EZ-Pass (if eligible)Company-issued uniforms and cell phoneOngoing training (in-house & school-based)Drug-free workplace (pre-employment drug test required)
