Systems Administrator (Infrastructure & Operations)

OverviewWe are seeking a hands-on Systems Administrator to support a multi-site enterprise environment (~330+ users). This role requires strong experience across server, network, security, and virtualization infrastructure, along with the ability to handle advanced escalations from Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide server and network administration in an on-prem enterprise environmentHandle advanced escalations from IT support teamsSupport multi-location infrastructure operationsMonitor server health, performance, and securityTroubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and infrastructure outagesManage networking technologies (firewall, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, switching)Respond to network/security incidents and eventsSupport backup and disaster recovery operationsMaintain virtualized environments and web server certificatesVirtualization, Backup & DR (Critical)Manage Microsoft Hyper-V environments (SCVMM preferred)Administer Veeam Backup & ReplicationSupport cloud backups (AWS or Wasabi preferred)Assist with disaster recovery testing and executionAutomation & Systems ManagementUse PowerShell, GPO, and RMM tools for automationSupport deployment and configuration improvementsIdentify and recommend infrastructure enhancementsStorage & EnvironmentSupport on-prem servers and SAN storage systemsHPE Nimble preferred (or equivalent SAN experience)Maintain virtualization infrastructure environmentsQualifications5+ years Systems Administration / Infrastructure experienceStrong Windows Server experienceExperience with Hyper-V virtualizationStrong networking knowledge (firewalls, VLANs, DNS, DHCP)Experience with backup and DR (Veeam preferred)Strong troubleshooting across infrastructure layersAbility to support multi-site environments and escalationsPreferredSCVMM experienceAWS or Wasabi cloud storage experienceHPE Nimble or similar SAN experiencePowerShell scripting experienceSecurity and infrastructure hardening exposure
