This role is designed to provide hands-on work experience while contributing to the beautification, sustainability, and cultural enrichment of the community. Workers will assist with outdoor labor, youth programming, cultural camps, and local food initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesCommunity Beautification & MaintenancePerform weed eating, mowing, and general landscapingAssist with village-wide trash clean-up effortsHelp maintain public spaces and community areasSitkalidak Sunrise Farms SupportAssist with planting, maintaining, and harvesting cropsHelp with packaging and distribution of produce to community membersMaintain cleanliness and organization of farm areasYouth & Community ProgrammingSupport Kids Day Camp activities and supervisionAssist with organizing games, cultural activities, and educational projectsHelp ensure a safe, positive, and engaging environment for youth participantsCultural Camp SupportAssist with the Alutiiq Tribe of Old Harbor's Nuniaq CampSupport staff with camp setup, breakdown, and daily operationsHelp participants engage in cultural activities and learning experiencesCultural Tourism SupportAssist with welcoming visitors and providing a positive first impression of Old HarborHelp prepare community spaces and cultural sites for tourism activitiesSupport cultural demonstrations, events, and presentationsAssist with setup of local products, displays, and sales opportunitiesShare basic knowledge of local culture, traditions, and community valuesHelp maintain cleanliness and organization of tourism areas before and after visitsQualificationsMust be dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a teamAbility to perform physical labor in outdoor conditionsPositive attitude and willingness to learnAbility to work with children and community members respectfullyPass a background checkAge 14 and upWork ConditionsOutdoor work in varying weather conditionsPhysical activity including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periodsFlexible schedule, may include weekends or evenings depending on programmingCompensationHourly wage (DOE)BenefitsHands-on work experienceOpportunity to support and strengthen your communityExposure to cultural programming and traditional practicesSkill development in teamwork, leadership, and project workSubmit an application on the Old Harbor Native Corporation website
