Project Manager

Job Summary:The Project Manager ensures the project is completed on time, within budget, and on schedule.Duties/Responsibilities:Follows Mission, Vision, ValuesDirects and leads multiple crewsActively manages schedule to ensure project completionManages financial aspects of contracts (change orders, applications of payments, equipment rentals, back charges, etc.) and Forecasts budgets, costs controls, and cost codesInitiates and Oversees project documentation including reports, RFI’s, field orders, minutes, report procedures, schedule of values, system units, etc.Ensures compliance with company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practicesPrepares monthly financial projectionsEnsures initial project schedule is issued to appropriate personnelActs as a liaison by effectively communicating between clients, architects, engineers and contractorsResponsible for “page turn” meetings with sub-contractorsParticipates in all project meetingsFormulates detailed project schedules of time and values and submits to leadershipOversees quality control including control logs, deviation reports, and as-builts Leads weekly safety auditsCoordinates staffing requirementsEstablishes closeout goals and manages closeout processPerforms additional duties as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities:Effective presentation skillsStrong supervisory and leadership skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent budgeting and cost containment skillsExcellent organizational stills and attention to detailExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesAbility to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriateStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, ProContractor and Blue BeamExcellent understanding of construction drawings, principles and practicesStrong understanding of layoutStrong Carpenter skillsEducation and Experience:Degree in Building Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or another related field preferred5 + years’ related field experienceValid drivers license or State IDCPR and First Aid (Thompson will train)30-hour OSHA certificationPhysical Requirements:Must be able to kneel, crouch, balance, climb, and crawlMust be able to traverse different types of worksites and bend, climb, stretch, and reachMust be able to exert physical effort, handling average weight objects up to 50 poundsMust be able to work in a variety of environments including but not limited to concrete, dirt, fumes, and loud noise levelsMust be able to work long hours and Saturdays when neededRequired Tool:Tape measureHammerComplete tool beltMission, Vision, Values:By honoring God, we will become nationally preferred concrete and excavation providerTo entrust and empower our team to create the best experience for clients, communities, and familiesWe will build lasting relationships based onFaith – Walk the path of obedience with a conviction for giving back to our community near and afar.Safety – Commit to the health and wellbeing of ourselves and those around us through adherence to our safety policies to ensure every team member goes home safely to their families every day.Integrity – Live a “no excuses” existence, taking responsibility for our actions while appropriately recognizing others for their contributions.Quality – Stive for continuous improvement to ensure the highest level of long-lasting craftsmanship.Teamwork – Recognize the exponential value of “many “over “individual” to reach out goals.Trust – Be loyal to our teammates to the degree they know we are dedicated to having their backs.Respect – Treat others the way they deserved to be treated, lifting them up in times of need and appreciating their efforts.Empowerment – Entrust and equip our team members to reach their full leadership potential through mentorship, training, and patience.
