Title: Vocal Music Director, Collegium Center Stage Theater (CCST)Reports To: Director/Performing Arts Center CoordinatorSupervises: N/AEmployee Type: Part-Time/SeasonalSummaryCCST Vocal Music Director provides administrative, creative, and instructional support to theCCST Director throughout the production of the CCST Spring Musical. The successfulcandidate will participate in creating and maintaining a professional climate that promotesstudent growth. The Vocal Music Director will assist with all rehearsals as needed but willprimarily be involved in music rehearsals teaching vocals to all participating students whilecollaborating with the Choreographer to ensure students are put in positions where they can besuccessful on stage and collaborating with the Instrumental Music Director to manage any/allmusic cuts/timing issues.Job ResponsibilitiesThis list is intended to be illustrative rather than complete and serves to show major duties andresponsibilities and does not express or imply that these are the only duties to be performed bythe employee in this position. Coordinates with Choreographer to ensure all needed cuts are communicated anddisseminated to pit orchestra musicians. Attends and assists with all scheduled rehearsals. Instruction of all vocal music parts for players in the cast.Qualifications Experience with theatrical productions (plays and musicals) as both a performer and aProduction Team Member Preferred But Not Required. Ability to read, analyze, and teach vocal and instrumental music from a theatrical workas needed. Ability to work as part of a production team and maintain a professional workingenvironment. Ability to adequately and effectively communicate and collaborate with other productionteam members, students, parents, and all other stakeholders to ensure student safetyand success. Required Clearances include Criminal Background Clearance (Act 34), Child AbuseClearance (Act 151), and FBI Fingerprint Clearance (Act 114), all dated within one yearof receipt Meets criteria for employment in a PA Public SchoolWork Environment and Physical DemandsThe mental and physical demands described here are representative of those that must be metby an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
