Mainframe Developer

Position: Mainframe DeveloperCompensation: $ 10000 - 110000 annually, depending on experienceLocation: Houston, TexasInceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Mainframe Developer to join their team!This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented mainframe professional to support critical applications in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. In this role, you’ll help develop, test, and maintain legacy systems that keep core business operations running smoothly while contributing to process improvements and long-term application stability.Key Responsibilities & Duties:Develop, test, and maintain mainframe applicationsSupport production systems and resolve application issuesTranslate business requirements into technical solutionsPartner with stakeholders to define application needsDocument system changes, user guides, and proceduresAssist with software performance testing and defect correctionSupport implementation, training, and sustainment effortsContribute to Agile daily support and project workProvide timely updates on project status and progressHelp improve application reliability and effectivenessRequired Qualifications & Experience: 2-5 years of mainframe applications programming experienceHands-on experience with z/OS, MVS JCL, TSO/ISPF, and COBOL IIWorking knowledge of at least one: PL/1, EasyTrieve Plus, CICS, IMS, DB2Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical teamsExperience researching and troubleshooting software issuesAbility to work independently and in a collaborative environmentProficient with Microsoft OfficeNice to Have Skills & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a related fieldSource control experienceExposure to Transact SQLExperience with ASP.NET or C#Familiarity with HTML, XML, or IISKnowledge of Microsoft Azure or DevOpsExperience working with third-party software vendorsPerks & Benefits: Competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and PTOFree parking providedEligible for bonus potentialOther Information: On-call availability may be required for critical support needsAdditional hours may be needed to meet project deadlinesBackground check and drug screening are requiredSponsorship is not available for this opportunityIf you are interested in learning more about the Mainframe Developer opportunity, please submit your resume for consideration.
