Full-Stack (Ruby/Java) Tech LeadLocation: Sunnyvale, CAClient: AI/R (https://aircompany.ai/)Job SummaryWe are looking for a seasoned Technical Lead / Full-Stack Engineer with strong expertise in Ruby on Rails and experience leading the development of high-quality, scalable web applications. The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing multiple concurrent workstreams across backend, platform development, frontend delivery, and API development while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and engineering excellence.The Tech Lead will provide technical direction across the stack, make pragmatic architectural decisions, and work hands-on with Ruby on Rails, Java/Spring Boot, and React codebases.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & ArchitectureLead and oversee development teams across multiple parallel workstreams, ensuring coordination, quality, and delivery velocity.Define and evolve technical architecture across Ruby on Rails, Java/Spring Boot backends, and React frontends.Make pragmatic technology decisions that balance long-term scalability with near-term delivery requirements.Establish and maintain coding standards, development best practices, and architecture patterns across the full stack.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers.Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and solution planning.Identify technical risks and drive appropriate solutions to maintain application reliability and scalability.Multi-Stream ManagementCoordinate and prioritize work across concurrent development tracks, including: New feature developmentPlatform hardeningBug triageTechnical debt reductionApplication enhancementsProactively unblock engineers by identifying and resolving technical dependencies and challenges.Translate complex technical blockers into actionable tasks and clear technical direction.Break down ambiguous requirements into well-defined technical deliverables.Ensure multiple development streams remain aligned with overall product and engineering objectives.Full-Stack DevelopmentContribute hands-on to application development across Ruby on Rails, Java/Spring Boot, React, and REST APIs.Review code and ensure adherence to established engineering standards.Design scalable backend services, APIs, and frontend integrations.Troubleshoot complex application and production issues.Drive improvements in application performance, scalability, maintainability, and reliability.Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-102, MS-700, MS-721, SC-300, SC-400, or equivalent).Experience with Microsoft Purview, eDiscovery, legal holds, and data-retention administration.Hands-on experience with M365 migration and backup tooling such as AvePoint and Keepit.Exposure to compliance frameworks including CMMC and SOX.Experience governing Microsoft Copilot / Copilot Studio and other AI collaboration capabilities.Experience supporting a global, multi-region user base across AMER, EMEA, and APAC.
