Ingenium Schools currently operates several charter schools, serving students throughout Los Angeles.POSITION SUMMARY:The department of enrollment and recruitment is seeking dedicated staff members (certificated and non-certificated) who are passionate about community outreach and engaging in ground game activities. This opportunity involves canvassing efforts throughout the year with a primary focus on enrolling new students and promoting our school within the community. Staff members in this role engage with parents, offer information about Ingenium, and actively enroll new students.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & JOB DUTIES:KEY CONTRIBUTIONSDepending upon assignment, duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:Demonstrate knowledge of, and support Ingenium Schools' mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and code of conductEffectively engage with parents for recruitment purposesUnderstand charter schools; able to educate parents about what charter schools are and are not, dispelling charter school mythsMaintain a helpful attitude and give good customer service at all timesAbility to walk community streets to hand-out fliers/talk to familiesKnock on doors, giving families informationApproach parents outside stores/restaurants etc. giving them information about Ingenium Schools and answering questionsVisit local businesses and leave fliersActively find and participate in fairs and community events on weekdays and weekendsUse appropriate language and respect others at all timesKNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIESKNOWLEDGE OF:Ingenium Schools and charter schoolsEffective sales and customer service strategiesAbility to speak to people of all cultures, backgrounds, and communitiesABILITY TO:Maintain positive attitudeMaintain regular attendance once committed to an eventEstablish a culture of high expectationsInteract appropriately with people all agesCommunicate effectively, both orally and in writingEffectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and communityRead and understand rules and policies, labels, and instructionsJOB QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or GED; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.Required Licenses and Certificates:CPR/First Aid (provided by Ingenium post-hire, if needed)WORKING CONDITIONSENVIRONMENT:Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, dust, wind, etc.), and sometimes in an office environment. Employees are exposed to weather and temperature changes depending on the seasons. Exposure to moderate and loud noise, seasonal temperatures, dust and wind.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Recruiters are physically active and must be able to lift at least 40 pounds. In addition, this job requires continuous standing and/or walking outdoors in minimal shade, stooping, crouching, kneeling, squatting, and twisting.
