This role requires a versatile tech capable of assisting in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, with a strong preference for those with Interventional Radiology (IR) experience. You will play a critical role in the "heart team," ensuring imaging excellence and sterile processing during high-acuity cases, including STEMI emergencies.Key ResponsibilitiesProcedural Scrubbing: Assist physicians in invasive procedures, including coronary angiography, angioplasty, stent placement, and pacemaker insertions.Imaging Excellence: Operate advanced fluoroscopic equipment to provide high-resolution imaging while maintaining strict radiation safety protocols (ALARA).Hemodynamic Monitoring: Record and interpret real-time physiologic data, including intracardiac pressures and oxygen saturations.Emergency On-Call: Participate in a robust on-call rotation (12–15 days per month) to support the hospital's 24/7 STEMI and IR emergency response.Facility Floating: Maintain flexibility to float between the Mesquite and Farmers Branch locations as unit needs and procedural volumes shift.Documentation: Use Epic for procedure logging and patient charting.Requirements & QualificationsExperience: Minimum 2 years of dedicated Cath Lab experience.Certifications (Mandatory):ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist).ACLS & BLS (AHA) – Required.Preferred Skills: Prior experience in Interventional Radiology (IR).Technical Proficiency: Competency with Epic EMR and standard hemodynamic monitoring systems.Unit & Facility DetailsPrimary Work Locations: (Mesquite, TX).(Farmers Branch, TX).Shift Information: 06:30–15:00.Call Requirement: High Call Volume. 12–15 days per month and every other weekend (EOW).Weekdays: 15:00 – 06:30.Weekends: 24-hour coverage (07:00 – 07:00).Scrubs: Any color; hospital-provided scrubs are also available.Financial & Logistics NotesCritical Order Level: 2.Submission Materials: Resume, Skills Checklist, 2 References, and all required Certifications.Float Requirement: Clinicians must have reliable transportation to travel between the Mesquite and Farmers Branch campuses (approx. 25–30 miles apart).Clinical Spotlight: The Dual-Certified TechHaving both ARRT and RCIS credentials makes you the clinical backbone of the lab. You are expected to bridge the gap between the physics of radiographic imaging and the clinical complexities of cardiovascular hemodynamics.
