The applicant must be able to meet and manage deadlines efficiently. The applicant must demonstrate a strong attention to detail. The applicant must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, have experience using Microsoft Word, Adobe, and Excel and be adept at working within multiple database systems concurrently.ResponsibilitiesWork closely with in-house legal department to ensure compliance and regulatory standards are metCompile data and submit monthly compliance reports to federal and state regulatory agenciesPrepare monthly and quarterly excise tax reportsCommunicate with and respond to federal and state auditor requestsPrepare filings for Secretaries of State and Departments of RevenueMonitor cigarette tax stamp purchases, returns, refunds, and creditsAssist with occasional price increase notifications and invoice reportsContinually assess systems, processes, and previously developed solutions to find opportunities for improvementsCommunicate regularly and effectively with team members and supervisorPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications And ExperienceAbility to work fluently with Microsoft Word, Adobe, and ExcelStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to learn and work within multiple databases and online reporting systemsStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical abilities and technical skillsTyping/Keyboarding; proficiency in using a computer for extended periodsBachelor’s degree in related field at a minimumExperience with compliance is a plusPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
