Ascension employs cooks that are quick, consistent, cleanly and which support the BOH team.What You'll DoPrepare menu items according to company specifications (build sheets & recipes).Set-up and stock stations prior to service.Re-stock station before completing shift, and prep for subsequent shift.Adhere to kitchen manager and general manager's instructions.Maintain a sanitary work area.Ensure that food comes out to spec consistently and under an 8 minute ticket time.Qualifications3 year of experience as a line cook or prep cook in a high volume or fast casual restaurant.Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.Accuracy and speed in executing menu items (under 8 minute ticket times).Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work 8-hour shifts or longer.Must either have a valid Food Handler's certificate or be willing to take the test to receive one
