Job Description About Hospitality Purveyors IncHospitality Purveyors Inc (HPI) is the exclusive design and procurement arm for all Sandals Resorts International properties which are wholly-owned and managed resorts. About the Position: Under the general direction of the Purchasing Manager, the Purchasing Agent – Ops., and Eng., is responsible for leading the procurement and supply chain activities of Resorts specifically focusing on equipment, operational and engineering needs. The Purchasing Agent is responsible for the timely and effective sourcing of equipment, goods, and services. Effectively coordinates shipments and collaborates with internal departments to support business functions and ensure expectations are met. Roles and Responsibilities:Manage Operational Requisitions for all Engineering, and Operational specifications as submitted by resortsValidate description and specifications meet the requirements and timelineWork with Project Managers on processing all Site Requisitions for all MEP and EquipmentHands-on approach to requirements specification for the procurement and the manufacturing of productsLead communication with the Resorts Engineering, Operational Team as well as Project ManagersPreparing and submitting RFQ's (requests for quotations)Analyze proposals, negotiating price/lead time to identify cost-saving opportunities and strategiesPrepare, process, and monitor purchase orders accurately and promptlyEstablish delivery expectations and logistics along with Projects Team and OperationsAddress discrepancies between purchase orders and received goodsAlong with Department Manager proactively identify areas of deficiency impacting productionAddress and resolve quality issues with suppliersImplement corrective actions to maintain qualityAbility to guide, prioritize and execute own efforts with minimal direct supervisionCommunicate with supplier and internal and external customersCollaborate effectively with Resorts engineering team and stores to understand their specific needsWeekly review and updating of Open POs, Invoices with Jr. TeamCommunicate with suppliers on incorrect deliveries and ensure they are addressed in a timely fashionProactively and effectively communicate internal & external teams & supplier any lead-time conflictsManage the reconciliation efforts, which includes resolving any discrepancies, obtaining all supplier and carrier, invoices and/or credits and submitting them to the accounting department for immediate processing.Generate procurement reports on an as needed basisCore SRI Interaction Aptitudes:Work closely with Resorts Engineering and Operational Teams and Management to meet Operational sourcing objectivesFacilitate and participate on Operational and Project meetings effectivelyWork cross-functionally to resolve and/or escalate SRI/Resorts concerns or issues in a timely fashionManage day-to-day SRI/Resort interactionSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: NoneQualifications and Experience:2-or 4-year college degree preferred3-5 years purchasing of MEP – Hospitality PreferredKnowledge of import procedures and practicesSpecific Knowledge and Skills Required:Knowledge of import procedures and practicesUnderstating of Oracle Procurement ProcessMust be proficient with the entire Microsoft Office suite of productsMust have solid organizational skills and ability to multi-taskMust have solid time management and prioritization skillsMust have sound analytical skillsMust have solid customer service and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writing (English)Ability to communicate effectively with management, co-workers and external partiesAbility to walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functionsCompany DescriptionHospitality Purveyors International (HPI) is the exclusive design and procurement arm for all Sandals and Beaches Resorts International properties which are wholly-owned and managed resorts.Company DescriptionHospitality Purveyors International (HPI) is the exclusive design and procurement arm for all Sandals and Beaches Resorts International properties which are wholly-owned and managed resorts.
