Automotive Parts Counter Sales Associate

Duties Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct automotive parts and accessories, leveraging product knowledge and automotive diagnostics tools. Manage inventory control by stocking shelves, conducting regular stock checks, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment using inventory management systems. Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and processing returns or exchanges with professionalism. Communicate effectively with customers via phone or in person, providing detailed product information, troubleshooting advice, and vehicle maintenance tips. Collaborate with the service team to support automotive repair and service operations through accurate parts ordering and timely delivery. Maintain a clean, organized counter area and ensure all stock is properly labeled and stored according to safety standards. Utilize marketing strategies to promote special offers, new products, or seasonal promotions to enhance sales performance. Experience Proven experience in retail sales, dealership environments, or automotive parts stores is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance procedures, and automotive repair processes. Familiarity with inventory management software (CMMS), POS systems, Microsoft Excel, and retail math for accurate stock control and order processing. Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases. Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Experience with dealership operations or automotive service departments enhances your ability to connect customer needs with technical solutions. Prior exposure to marketing initiatives or sales management strategies will support your growth within our team.
