Junior DevOps Engineer (Entry-Level)Job Location: USAWork Arrangement: RemoteFresh graduates and entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply!We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Junior DevOps Engineer to join our DevOps/Cloud Engineering team. This is an entry-level opportunity designed for candidates who are beginning their careers in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure, or related technology fields.You will work alongside experienced DevOps Engineers to support CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, containerized applications, automation, and production environments while gaining hands-on experience with modern DevOps technologies.Who Should Apply?This opportunity is intended for entry-level candidates with 0–1 year of full-time professional DevOps/Cloud experience.• No prior full-time professional experience is required.• Academic projects, internships, personal projects, bootcamp projects, GitHub projects, and hands-on cloud/DevOps projects are highly valued.• Candidates with more than 1 year of full-time professional DevOps experience may be better suited for experienced-level roles.Key ResponsibilitiesCI/CD & Automation• Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.• Automate application build, testing, deployment, and infrastructure processes.• Support deployment and release activities across development and production environments.Containers & Kubernetes• Work with Docker for containerization and application deployment.• Assist with deploying and managing applications using Kubernetes.• Gain exposure to Kubernetes concepts such as Pods, Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, and Ingress.Cloud & Infrastructure• Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).• Assist with provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure.• Work with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.Monitoring & Operations• Assist with application and infrastructure monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting.• Gain exposure to tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK, or Splunk.• Help identify and resolve deployment, infrastructure, and application issues.Collaboration & Version Control• Use Git/GitHub for version control, branching, merging, and pull requests.• Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and collaborate with Developers, Cloud Engineers, SREs, and other engineering teams.• Maintain technical documentation for deployments, infrastructure, and operational processes.Required Skills & QualificationsEducation• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.• Equivalent practical training, bootcamp, certification, or relevant project experience may also be considered.Experience• 0–1 year of full-time professional DevOps, Cloud, or related experience.Technical Skills• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix and shell commands.• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and DevOps practices.• Familiarity with Git and GitHub.• Basic understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.• Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tools.• Basic knowledge of at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.• Exposure to Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools is a plus.• Basic scripting knowledge in Bash, Python, or PowerShell is preferred.• Understanding of basic networking, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and cloud security concepts is a plus.Soft Skills• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.• Good communication and collaboration skills.• Strong willingness to learn new DevOps and Cloud technologies.• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced engineering environment.Equal Opportunity EmployerWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
