This role plays an important part in supporting our customers, strengthening our business, and contributing to the long-term growth of Douglas Dynamics.How You Will ContributeA senior leadership role with full P&L accountability, responsible for driving profitable growth, expanding market and channel reach, integrating Venco Venturo into the Douglas Dynamics Management System, and strengthening strategic customer and distributor relationships.How You’ll Make a DifferenceStrategic Leadership & Business GrowthDrive profitable growth through strategic planning, marketplace expansion, and margin improvement initiatives.Identify and execute strategies to capture white-space opportunities and expand geographic distribution.Evaluate internal and external business drivers and adjust priorities to maximize performance and profitability.Support the VP of Operations by proactively communicating business anomalies and recommending solutions.Operational ExcellencePlan and manage Business Unit resources to exceed customer expectations, ensuring perfect shipments, lowest inventory levels, and exceptional quality at optimal cost.Promote and model lean business practices, continuously improving processes and eliminating waste.Analyze a range of information—verbal, written, competitive, environmental—to drive People Leadership & CultureLead, develop, and inspire both direct and indirect reports across Production, Platform, Sales, Product, IT, HR, Technical Service, and Commodity functions.Cultivate a strong, aligned culture consistent with the company vision, reinforcing open and honest communication at all levels.Communicate simple, measurable objectives that align employees with company goals and values.Administer reward and recognition systems that motivate associates to achieve project and production goals.Define clear expectations, provide tools and support, and hold self and team accountable for results, including administering corrective actions when needed.Customer, Channel & Commercial LeadershipLead commercial and go-to-market teams with passion and clarity.Partner closely with the CSI Sales team to maximize channel synergies and strengthen distribution relationships.Prioritize and align company initiatives with the needs of customers and shareholders to ensure long-term success.Execution, Alignment & Barrier RemovalRemove obstacles that hinder team execution and reinforce organizational alignment.Support the mission and vision through effective resource allocation, infrastructure development, and policy creation.Engage regularly through Gemba walks to identify performance gaps and guide teams in closing them.Safety & Workplace EnvironmentPromote and maintain a safe working environment, modeling safe behaviors and proactively addressing unsafe conditions. What This Role NeedsEducation/Experience: Four year bachelor’s degree in business or a technical discipline.
