Field Service Technician

Electrical FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIANField service technician is responsible for startup, repair and maintaining induction heating and melting equipment for a Midwest based company. The position requires a strong electrical knowledge with induction heating and melting equipment experience.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-Testing and repairing induction heating and melting equipment by traveling to the location of the customer.-Providing troubleshooting as well as performing installation of equipment.-Work on site at Power Parts to repair, refurbish and upgrade customer equipment.-Provide telephone support to the customer in order to perform troubleshooting.-Conduct training sessions with customers.-Provide and take direction from home office management.SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS:-Must be willing to travel 75-90% of the time.-BSEE or Associate Degree with equivalent experience required.-Must possess superb customer service skills and the ability to diagnose and solve problems.-Must be able to work independently.-Must have good technical writing and oral communication skills.-Must be able to use diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, meters and high voltagetesters.-Must be able to read schematics and perform visual inspections.-Knowledge of induction and heat treating experience is a big plus.-Familiarity with working on high voltage and high power circuits.-Knowledge of PLC’s and troubleshooting.-Knowledge of troubleshooting motor controls and drives a plus.Compensation includes Base + Profit Incentive + Profit Sharing/401K.
