Welder IVLocation: Phoenix, AZShift:2nd Shift — 2:30 PM to 1:00 AMPay Range:$25–$33/hr (based on experience)Training:Two weeks on 1st shiftAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Welder IV to join our Phoenix team. This role involves performing high‐quality MIG and TIG welding on a variety of materials and complex weldments, following AWS codes and blueprint specifications. You will work with steel, stainless steel, aluminum, sheet metal, and tubing in a manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesReview instructions, blueprints, and work orders to plan welding procedures, tools, and materials.Perform MIG and TIG welding on a wide range of metals and weldment types.Lay out, fit, tack, and fabricate multi‐component weldments using fixtures and jigs.Clean and prepare surfaces for welding.Inspect welds to ensure compliance with quality standards.Perform minor equipment maintenance.Maintain and care for assigned tools and equipment.Follow all safety procedures and company policies.Maintain reliable attendance.Perform additional duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesProficiency in manual and machine TIG/MIG welding.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and AWS welding symbols.Strong understanding of welding procedures and machine setup.Experience with steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and sheet metal.Ability to produce welds that pass visual and destructive testing.Skilled in using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures, squares).Basic math skills for conversions and calculations.Ability to operate hand tools, air tools, and grinders.Education & CertificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Completion of a two‐year vocational welding program or equivalent experience.Experience Requirements4+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentWork performed primarily in a manufacturing environment.Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.Ability to lift 10–20 lbs infrequently; up to 50 lbs occasionally.Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and walking.Exposure to fumes, dust, gases, chemicals, and temperature changes.Required use of PPE.Possible exposure to noise, moving mechanical parts, and electrical hazards.Occasional travel for training or meetings.Company DescriptionSkySource Solutions believes in attaining success.
