Job descriptionThis position focuses on student achievement by working with teachers to ensure quality implementations of research-based reading program(s) and scientifically based reading strategies/practices at the secondary school level.Tentative positions available are Literacy Coach for the 2026-2027 School Year.Required qualifications, skills and experienceMinimum of a bachelor's degree in Middle Grades Education from an accredited college or university and must be endorsed or certified in reading or working toward endorsement or certification.A minimum of three years successful teaching experience in reading instructionDemonstrated competency in knowledge of the Sunshine State Standards, scientifically based reading research, exemplary practices in reading instruction and data analysisAbility to plan, organize, and direct activities for teachersAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, administration, district staff, and the publicExperienced in facilitating adult trainingEEO statement
