Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with an automotive engineering organization, is seeking a skilled Battery CAE Durability Engineer. This role is responsible for performing battery system dynamics analysis, developing vibration test profiles, and supporting durability analysis for advanced automotive battery systems.Job DutiesLead modal, random vibration, and shock analysis for battery systemsDevelop random vibration profiles for Pack-in-Fixture testingDesign, develop, and tune PIF fixtures to replicate vehicle response and damage modesPerform durability analysis using finite element analysis toolsInterpret CAE results and recommend design optimization actionsGather material properties, connection data, and CAE modeling inputs from engineering teams and suppliersSupport meshing and part connection activities as neededContribute to the durability analysis procedure and load case developmentSkills & ExperienceRequiredBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 7+ years of experienceMaster’s degree with 2+ years of experience, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldExperience with ANSA, Abaqus, HyperView/META, OptiStruct, or similar CAE toolsExperience with dynamic analysis of automotive structuresSolid mechanics, materials, structural analysis, and dynamics expertiseExperience preparing formal engineering analysis reportsKnowledge of automotive structure and battery system materials, including metals, polymers, adhesives, conductors, and electronicsDesiredBattery system durability analysis experiencePack-in-Fixture testing or fixture tuning experienceModal, random vibration, and shock analysis experienceCAE meshing and part connection experienceExperience benchmarking durability analysis procedures and load cases"Blue Chip Talent is an award-winning and woman-owned talent solutions provider based out of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
