Position Summary The School Psychologist supports the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development of students in a K-12 public school setting. This role involves conducting psychological assessments, collaborating with educators and families, developing intervention strategies,and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations related to special education and student services. QualificationsMaster's or Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in School PsychologyValid state certification/licensure as a School PsychologistKnowledge of psychological assessment tools and techniquesKnowledge of public school law, ethics and standards of practice for School PsychologyStrong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) and response to intervention (RTI)Ability to be self-directed, responsible and complete work within prescribed timelinesAbility to work collaboratively with all school stakeholdersKey ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations for students to determine eligibility for special education servicesInterpret assessment data to identify learning, behavioral, and emotional needsPrepare detailed evaluation reports and present findings to multidisciplinary teamsCollaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop effective intervention strategiesAssists parents in locating available educational and mental health resources in the communityMonitor student progress and adjust interventions as neededAssist in streamlining processes related to interventions and MTSSParticipate in IEP and 504 Plan meetingsProvide recommendations for instructional strategies and classroom accommodationsMaintain accurate and confidential student recordsProvide training and support to staff on topics such as behavior management, mental health, and trauma-informed practicesMaintain professional skills through attending relevant in-service trainings, reading current literature and professional membershipsPerform related duties as assignedReports to: Director of Special Programs To Apply: Please click on the 'Apply for this Position' button on the right-hand side of this screen.
