DutiesMust have a valid Illinois Professional Educator License with an LBS1 endorsement. Perform functions to instruct students, ensuring each individual is provided with the knowledge, proficiencies, and experiences necessary to become successful contributing citizens in a 21st century world.Lead teacher in the new highly structured PAWS program for students needing more individualized programs. Teachers are responsible for not only the academic education of students with special needs but also for the implementation of basic social skills that the student will utilize in everyday life.Provide direct instruction and support for students with IEPs; maintain accurate records and progress monitoring of goals and objectives; prepare IEP paperwork for annual reviews as a case managerHelp create an educational environment for a small teacher-to-student classroom focused on life skills.Salary/Benefits* As per current teacher salary schedule (Regionally Competitive)How to Apply* Copies sent directly to Joe Mintus, Principal, at Midland Elementary School, will be considered for positions.
