Job Description JOB SUMMARY The CNC Machine Operator sets up and operates a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions. This role requires interpreting blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications, determining sequences of operations, and using machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments. Operators may work with conventional or computer numerical controlled (CNC) machines and are responsible for monitoring quality in accordance with control procedures. Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate conventional or CNC machines to produce parts or assemblies Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine setup and machining operations Use machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy Perform shop computations relating to dimensions, tooling, feeds, and speeds Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining Fit and assemble precision parts into mechanical equipment Monitor and verify quality using statistical process or other control procedures Recommend workflow improvements to achieve cost savings and optimize efficiency Operate press machines and other specialized equipment as required Maintain accurate documentation of work performed Required SkillsCNC machine operation Press machine operation Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications Proficiency with machinist tools and precision measuring instruments Strong attention to detail and ability to meet exacting tolerances Knowledge of shop mathematics and machining computations ExperienceTypically requires completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience 1–2 years of knowledge and experience with machine operation and procedures preferred EducationMinimum: High School diploma or equivalency Education verification requiredEducation:High SchoolCompany DescriptionCompunnel Inc., established in 1994; is a leading provider of Staffing, IT/Software, e-Learning/Training, Business Intelligence, and Cloud Solutions.
