There’s no one like you and that’s why there’s nowhere like RSM.The PositionDue to rapid growth of our Financial Services Risk Consulting practice within the insurance industry and the evolving risk landscape of our clients, RSM is seeking a highly motivated manager to lead teams of risk consulting professionals in addressing our clients’ needs.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Manager in the Financial Services Risk Consulting practice at RSM, you’ll be asked to consistently:Model the core RSM values of respect, integrity, teamwork, excellence and stewardship in all interactions with clients and team membersSupport RSM’s goals around diversity and inclusion by nurturing an environment that understands individuality, promotes authenticity, and values varied perspective in arriving at solutionsEffectively manage, motivate and mentor multidisciplinary teams to work as a cohesive, client-centric unit in delivering high-quality solutions to sophisticated clientsSupport multiple client projects simultaneously, while actively contributing to internal initiatives such as talent, practice, and business developmentLeverage your understanding of the insurance industry trends to effectively communicate leading risk management practicesProvide subject-matter expertise in risk consulting strategies and internal controls pertaining to the core functions of insurance (claims, product, underwriting, etc.)Manage a diverse book of business, maintaining overall responsibility for the profitability, effective delivery and engagement risk of all client related work within the portfolioLeverage your experience and expertise to recruit and retain future leaders of the firm through mentorship that focuses on advancing the professional aspirations and skills of your colleaguesBe proactive in your personal development in areas such as insurance industry expertise, technical specializations, and leadership to drive expansive personal value to our people and our clientsFocus on developing your network and personal brand in the marketplace to drive growth for the insurance risk consulting practice; including: identifying and securing new opportunitiesPosition QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s Degree in business, engineering, accounting, finance or related disciplineA minimum of 5 years of experience working in the insurance industry as an internal auditor, controls specialist, claims specialist, underwriting specialist, management consultant with a minimum of 3 years at a public accounting or professional services firmExperience with leading projects across the three lines of defense and with various lines of business (e.g. CFO group, operations (claims, product, underwriting, distribution, etc.), data, technology, regulatory compliance, risk management, internal audit)Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation toolsJob relevant certification (e.g., ARM, CRM, CPA, CIA, CFE, PMP)Ability to travel to meet client needsEstablished experience in the financial services industry with a focus on insuranceAt RSM, we offer a competitive benefits and compensation package for all our people. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.Compensation Range: $101,000 - $203,000Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.SummaryLocation: Chicago; Charlotte; New YorkType: Full time
