The student will provide customer service, clerical duties, housekeeping, and assistance with various recreation/intramural and wellness activities/events for the area of Middle Georgia State University Recreation and Wellness (Cochran Campus). This position will report to the part-time student managers and full-time professional staff.ResponsibilitiesOfficiate a variety of intramural sports including basketball, flag football, soccer, volleyball, softball and assist with other sports/events as needed Act as a main point of contact for over 300 individual participants Ensure participation safety by having a strong knowledge of rules, policies and procedures as well as proper field set up and game management Provide exceptional customer service to participants by having strong communication while also interacting with players in a respectful, cooperative manner Maintain a professional appearance and attitude throughout games Properly respond to emergencies by following the departments Emergency Action Procedures Assist with promotion of intramural sports/events through tabling and other marketing strategies Assist with other duties as assigned (may result in help with other departments within Recreation and Wellness) A student worker must have knowledge of computers and different software programs Any prior job experience in an office environment is helpful, but not necessary Student is required to retain Family Education Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA) confidentiality Required QualificationsMinimum GPA of 2.0 Currently enrolled at Middle Georgia State University for at least 6 credit hours, 12 hours preferably.
