Maintenance Technician
Job Brief:
Our team is currently looking for an experienced Shop Maintenance Technician to keep our level of commitment to safety and customer service. In this role, the successful candidate will perform repairs and maintenance of all agronomy equipment in StateLine Cooperative in accordance with industry standards, run diagnostics on vehicles and work closely with other team members to meet company goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Establish and achieve service goals with Shop Manager and Agronomy Operations Leader.
Perform minor and major repairs on light to heavy duty equipment and trailers.
Maintain proficiency in the diagnostics and repair of all SLC NH3 application equipment.
Conduct regular preventative maintenance on service trucks, including inspection, tire rotation and oil changes.
Diagnose and repair problems related to hydraulic components, steering systems, and air braking systems.
Repair or rebuild products by dismantling and reassembling, in order to perform modifications and repairs in a timely manner.
Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the shop.
Picking up and cleaning tools after a task is complete.
Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles by logging into Grip Program.
Maintain knowledge of NH3 application equipment and be able to effectively troubleshoot in-field problems during application seasons.
Timely and accurate reporting of SLC Work Orders for each piece of equipment.
Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components.
Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery.
Welding and fabrication
Performing other duties as assigned

2. Maintain a clean and positive appearance with both yourself and SLC equipment and facilities.
3. Attending schools and trainings pertaining to agronomy to maintain and build expertise as requested.
4. Perform duties in an efficient and time-saving manner.
5. Maintain communication with Location personnel as to your whereabouts or how you can be reached at all times during “normal” business hours.
Requirements:
High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or one year of related job experience is a definite plus.
Maintain a current Class A CDL license and Hazmat.
Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components.
A problem-solving ability.
Very good communication skills.
Willingness to learn
