The Educational Assistant will work collaboratively with teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and administration to suppor the student's academic, behavioral, social, and emotional success throughout the school day.Responsibilities:Provide direct support to the student in academic and classroom activitiesAssist with implementing behavior intervention plans and classroom accommodationsSupport the student with emotional regulation, coping strategies, and positive social interactionsHelp maintain a structured, safe, and supportive learning environmentMonitor student behavior and provide redirection and encouragement as neededAssist with transitions throughout the school dayCommunicate effectively with teachers and support staff regarding student progress and concernsMaintain confidentiality and professionalism at all timesCollect data and document student progress as directed by the special education teamSupport participation in general education and special education settings as appropriateQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate degree or paraprofessional certification preferredExperience working with children with behavorial, emotional, or special education needs preferredAbility to remain calm, patient, and supportive in challenging situationsStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to follow directions and implement student support plans consistentlyPreferred Skills:Knowledge of de-escalation strategies and positive behavior supportsExperience working in educational settingsAbility to build positive relationships with students while maintaining appropriate boundariesPhysical Requirements:Ability to move throughout the school environment* Ability to assist during behavioral or safety situations when necessaryThis position offiers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a student's educational experience by providing consistent support, encouragement, and advocacy within the school environment.Other:
