SQL Server Database Developer
THIS IS A HYBRID REMOTE - 3 DAYS ONSITE PER WEEKFULL-TIME / DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY ONLYNO VISA SPONSORSHIP NOW OR IN THE FUTURECLIENT WILL NOT CONSIDER ANYONE THAT DOES NOT CURRENTLY RESIDE IN THE DFW AREAThis rapidly growing Healthcare company is seeking a SQL Server Database Developer that will play a primary role in all aspects of the Information Technology Department including database analysis, query writing, creation of stored procedures, SSIS packages, SQL jobs, and data movement.
Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborates to define projects, develops and interprets business rules, and debugs technical issues when they arise
- Applies business and database analysis skills to gain deep understanding of user’¬s needs
- Aids in the definition and creation of solutions that meet user’s needs
- Develops custom database objects, stored procedures, functions, and T-SQLDesigns and implements SSIS packages and other ETL processes
- Effectively communicates project status and planning activities with team and customers
- Troubleshoots slow performing queries and database servers
- Provides support for off-hour deployments and production issues
- Participates in off-hours support rotation
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Consistently demonstrates compliance with HIPAA regulations, professional conduct, and ethical practice
- Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition and ensures safe operating conditions within area of responsibility
- Works to encourage and promote Company culture throughout the organization
- Other duties as may be assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent10 +years of SQL Database Development experienceSQL Server 2008 or higher, T-SQL development (writing/debugging complex stored procedures/functions)
- Design DB (understanding relationships, design, ERD, normalization) (DDL) Data Definition Language ( creating db objects tables, views, functions, etc) (DML) Data Manipulation Language (creating complex queries to manipulate data) SSIS development and deployment
- Data Warehouse Development/ Dimensional Modeling a plus
- Database Administrator roles (security, backup/restore, server/system maintenance) experience a plus
- Healthcare information experience preferredSSAS experience preferred
- Working with end users to gather/understand requirements
