FT Line Cook - NO LATE NIGHTS/NO WEEKENDS

Be Creative in Colorado Springs!Creative Dining Services is growing and looking for a Line Cook to join our team at Ent Credit Union in Colorado Springs, CO! The Line Cook is responsible primarily for the preparation and distribution of food items to customers in a cafeteria setting. Provide fast, efficient service to all customers. Follow procedures and policies outlined by the company, such as portion control and plating procedures, while displaying a friendly and helpful attitude to all customers and fellow employees.Availability: Monday-Friday 6am to 3pm - no late nights, no weekends!Core Responsibilities:Prepare food items according to established recipes and menus in a manner in which preserves food freshness, quality and appealUtilize batch cooking techniques to avoid over or under productionMaintain established logs (food temperatures, cooling temperatures, cooler & freezer temperatures, etc.)Monitor kitchen equipment for proper functioning; report any discrepancies to supervisor immediatelyIf work shift requires, properly open and/or close the kitchen - unlocking/locking doors & secured areas, and turning on/turning off of all equipment essential to the operationHold prepared food items at appropriate temperatures (below 40° if cold, above 135° if hot)Store food items according to established standards of practice; utilize proper labeling and datingCommunicate needs and concerns regarding food production and kitchen operation to supervisor appropriately, and in a timely manner.Experience:High School diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of 2 years cooking experienceExcellent customer service skillsTeam attitude - supports other kitchen employees in assuring that all essential functions of the kitchen are performed adequately and appropriatelyPhysical Demands/Environment:Must be able to lift up to 50 poundsEnvironment may include hot, humid or cold conditions.Benefits:MedicalDentalHSAVision401k with generous company matchPTO, Paid HolidaysQuarterly Bonus ProgramEmployee Assistance Program with many free resources, discounts, etcAnd much, much more!About Creative Dining ServicesCreative Dining Services partners with college, universities, Fortune 100 companies, full-service senior living communities, conference centers and K-12 schools and camps to provide a different kind of hospitality and facility management services experience - one that's fun, innovative, and focused on your community.
