Maintenance Superintendent
Job Description
Manage the plant's maintenance department activities, including the maintenance safety, predictive/preventative maintenance programs, maintenance work orders, breakdown maintenance repair/recovery, small maintenance projects, contract maintenance
work and maintenance shutdown work.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Support safety and housekeeping activities, development of safety standards and manage the enforcement of safety programs.
Actively looks for ways to provide a safer workplace through training, employee involvement and proactive planning.
Responsible for supervision, control, corrective action, training, and instruction of the Maintenance Area Managers
Coordinate the development and implementation of preventative maintenance and routine maintenance programs for plant equipment. Review and analyze the effectiveness of these programs
Manage the maintenance work order tracking system
Direct the maintenance area managers and coordinate maintenance and repair of all production equipment, plant facilities, buildings, and grounds
Manage small maintenance projects.
Plan and coordinate maintenance shutdown work
Manage outside contractor maintenance programs such as forklifts, OH cranes and HVAC equipment
Manage the Maintenance Program Assistant to collect and analyze equipment data to improve equipment reliability
Assist with establishing and reviewing weekly planned maintenance work schedules for various crafts, including time, material, and manpower projections; monitors progress of maintenance work in relation to specified schedules; recommends corrective actions as necessary
Performs Root Cause Analysis on equipment failures. Develop and enact corrective actions.
Assist with ensuring materials are available to facilitate planned maintenance activities.
Support the Lean transformation at Marysville through providing maintenance support for Rapid Improvement Events and Lean projects.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
Bachelor's degree in a related field
5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in managing technicians and area supervisors
Knowledge in the area of PMs, predictive maintenance, and breakdowns
Strong presentation, problem-solving, and group dynamics skills
Strong MS Office and maintenance software skills /experience
Fluent in English, both verbal and written
Ability to work off shifts as necessary

Previous Maintenance Tech experience
Union experience
SAP Experience
