Customer Relationship Manager - Area 1
This is a field-based role responsible for growing and managing a portfolio of major resource and heavy industrial accounts across all mining regions in Queensland.You will work closely with site-based maintenance and engineering teams, providing technical guidance and commercial solutions across installed equipment and new project opportunities.Your territory will include:Open-cut and underground coal operationsBase metals and mineral processing facilitiesCoal handling and preparing plants (CHPP)Bulk materials handling systemsHeavy industrial processing sitesMining contractors and regional service providersAbout you:We are looking for a commercially driven professional with strong technical credibility in industrial environments.Minimum 5 years' experience in industrial, mining, or technical salesBackground in rotating equipment, bearings, couplings, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, or related mechanical systemsProven ability to develop and grow key customer accountsConfidence engaging with Maintenance Managers, Reliability Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and Procurement teamsStrong business development capability with a proactive approachAbility to operate autonomously in a regional, field-based rolePrevious experience in the bearings & power transmission industryHands-on experience working with rotating machineryEstablished networks within mining or heavy industryFamiliarity with mine site access requirements and shutdown environmentsMechanical Engineering qualification or trade background (e.g., Fitter & Turner)Mechanically minded candidates transitioning from site-based roles into technical salesYour main responsibilities:Build and strengthen long-term partnerships with mining and industrial customersIdentify opportunities to expand supply of bearings and power transmission productsSupport shutdowns, reliability initiatives, and plant improvement projectsPursue upgrade and project opportunitiesConduct regular on-site visits to maintain strong customer engagementProvide technical recommendations aligned to operational requirementsManage commercial negotiations and account development strategiesMaintain a structured territory plan to achieve revenue growth targetsWhat We Offer:Market aligned remuneration with annual salary reviews: Your salary grows with your skills and performance.Career Progression: Clear pathways to develop and advance within Motion and with access to free webinars, training events and courses.Comprehensive Benefits: Including retail discounts, bonus incentives, recognition programs, supplied uniforms, parental leave top-up allowance and access to wellbeing/employee assistance programs.Exposure to some of Queensland's largest mining and processing operationsEligible for 1 Good to Give Leave Day per calendar year in addition to normal leave entitlements to participate in volunteering activitiesAbout MotionMotion is a leader in the distribution of industrial products.
