About Our PracticeWe are a modern, patient-centered private optometry practice in Studio City, specializing in advanced dry eye disease management and specialty contact lenses. Our mission is to deliver personalized, high-quality eye care in a warm and collaborative environment.Position SummaryWe're seeking a friendly and motivated part-time optometrist to join our team two days per week. The ideal candidate is passionate about providing exceptional patient care and is comfortable working in a boutique private practice setting.ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive eye exams with attention to detail and patient educationDiagnose and treat common eye conditions such as dry eye disease, red eye emergencies, cataracts, and refractive errorsPrescribe corrective lenses and contact lenses based on patient needsCollaborate with the managing doctor, opticians, and staff to ensure smooth patient flow and communicationEducate patients on eye health, proper contact lens care, and preventive measures while managing patient inquiries with excellent customer service skills, ensuring a positive experienceMaintain accurate and thorough documentation using our EHR system in compliance with HIPAA regulationsAssist in sales of optical products when appropriate, providing professional recommendations based on patient needsStay current with medical terminology updates, anatomy knowledge, and physiology to enhance diagnostic accuracy QualificationsO.D. degree with active California licensureFamiliarity with dry eye disease management is preferredInterest or experience in myopia management and scleral lenses is a plus, but not requiredFamiliarity with EHR systems for efficient documentation and record keepingUnderstanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data securityProficiency in medical terminology, medical records management, and coding practicesAbility to perform basic anatomy knowledge related to the eye and physiology assessmentsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsCommitment to providing compassionate, quality-driven careTechnology & EquipmentOur practice is equipped with:Retinal cameraCorneal topographerAuto refractor/keratometeriCare tonometerIPL and radiofrequency devicesRed Low-Level Light TherapyCloud-based EHR systemWhy Join UsSupportive, low-stress work environmentOpportunity to work with advanced dry eye and specialty technologyFlexible scheduling and potential for additional days as the practice growsThis position is integral to delivering high quality eye care services while fostering a welcoming environment for all patients.
