AM Line CookImmediate Supervisor: Executive ChefClassification: Part-Time, Non-ExemptPosition SummaryThe AM Line Cook is responsible for opening the kitchen, executing breakfast and lunch service, and completing daily prep to support afternoon and evening operations. This role sets the foundation for the day's success through organization, preparation, and consistency.Primary ResponsibilitiesPrepare and execute breakfast and lunch menu items to Chef's specificationsComplete daily prep lists to support PM serviceSet up and stock all stations for serviceAssist Executive Chef and Sous Chef with daily production and prepEssential FunctionsOpen kitchen and ensure stations are fully set and operationalPrepare ingredients (chopping, butchering, sauces, etc.) for service and PM shiftCook menu items in cooperation with kitchen staff during serviceMaintain proper food handling, labeling, and dating standardsEnsure timely and consistent plate presentationClean and organize stations throughout and after serviceCommunicate clearly with chefs and team members regarding prep levelsAssist with inventory stocking and rotation (FIFO)Maintain sanitation, safety, and food quality standardsMaintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and membersAdditional AM ExpectationsStrong focus on prep production and organizationAbility to anticipate needs for later shiftsLeave station fully stocked and clean for PM teamRequirementsLicenses and Special RequirementsFood safety certificationPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentRequired to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reachPush, pull or lift up to 40 poundsContinuous repetitive motionsWork in occasional hot environmentThis is a general description.
